GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

26/08/2021

GRACE UPON GRACE

(John 1:16) And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Do you know we have received the fullness of Jesus as Christians? This means we are not short of strength or power. The word translated ‘fullness’ gives a picture of a large container filled and overflowing with water. Since this container is full of water, anyone who is thirsty can pick some water and drink it till he or she also becomes full. The container points to Jesus whilst the water points to the Holy Spirit.

As a Christian, you have received the same Holy Spirit Jesus had. For this reason, John declared that it is grace for grace. This means that with the Holy Spirit we can only increase in grace. This grace has released favor, joy, happiness, and acceptability upon you. Also, this grace ensures that you receive testimonies all the time. It is a matter of grace upon grace. Halleluyah!

Meditation: (John 1:16) And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Activity: Pray fervently in the spirit and declare that you are enjoying his fullness and grace.

Confession: I have received his fullness. I do not lack power or strength. The same Holy Spirit who walked with Jesus is in me now. I am a champion forever. I walk in ever-increasing grace. It is grace heaped upon grace for me. Halleluyah!

If you have never been born again then make the confession below.

I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
