GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

29/05/2021

HIS GOODNESS MUST LEAD YOU TO REPENTANCE

(Romans 2:4) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

There are some Christians who only focus on the judgement of God and others who also focus on the goodness of God only. Those on the side of the former live in fear, whilst those in the latter group take God for granted. It ought not to be so. There should be balance.

It was for this reason that Paul asked the question we see in our theme scripture for today. God shows you his goodness so that you may change. Halleluyah! If you confess your sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive you (1 John 1:9). However, he expects you to grow and leave those mistakes behind for his goodness must lead you to repentance. Halleluyah!

Meditation: (Romans 2:4) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Activity: Spend time in prayer today. As you pray vow in your heart never to take God for granted.

Confession: I have vowed in my heart never to take his goodness and kindness towards me for granted. The God who forgives is the God who will judge. I allow his goodness to lead me unto repentance. Halleluyah!

If you have never been born again, then make the confession below.

I declare from today that Jesus

Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
