GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

17/05/2021

RUN THE RACE WITH PATIENCE

(Hebrews 12:1) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Christianity is a walk with the Holy Ghost. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory. In this walk, a race is set before you. However, to win this race, you ought to run with patience. Patience as used in our reference scripture for today means endurance and being hopeful irrespective of the challenges you are facing or might face. I like to explain it as acting when the Holy Ghost asks you to, not fearing the issues that have arisen or may arise.

The Bible declares that when you walk with patience, you are perfect (James 1:3). Patience helps you to wait for your day of visitation. If you allow patience to work in you, you will never be jealous of any other person. Spend time in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to activate patience in you today. Halleluyah!

Meditation: (Hebrews 12:1) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Activity: Spend time in prayer today. Ask the Holy Spirit to activate patience in you so that you will be able to enjoy your waiting time.

Confession: Patience is in me. I refuse to be jealous of others. My time will come. I walk in patience. Halleluyah!

If you have never been born again, then make the confession below.

I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
