DON’T ASK AMISS
(James 4:3) “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts"
The Amplified Classic Version of the Bible renders James 4:3 as, “[Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with the wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures.” This Scripture explains one of the reasons why many don’t receive answers to their prayers. Your intention or purpose in prayer is paramount, for God will look at it before answering your prayers. Stop praying selfish prayers!
As a Christian, any prayer you pray should help you become who God has made you into for He has said, “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord; thoughts and plans for welfare and peace, and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” And in becoming who God has made you into you will definitely affect the lives of others; for God chose to love all the humans in the world (John 3:16).
Don’t ask amiss, for God is ever ready to answer your prayers and prove His existence to you. Talk to God in prayer now! Be ready for testimonies as you pray without evil intentions and selfish motives. Hallelujah!
Confession: I refuse to pray with evil and selfish motives today and forever. For this reason, my prayer cannot be hindered. My prayers are answered with the speed of the Holy Ghost. Even my whisper will receive the attention of heaven. Hallelujah!
Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.
Congratulations
You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
