GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

03/06/2022

PRAYER; THE SUPPORT THAT MAKES OUR WORDS WORK

(Matthew 26:36) Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.

(John 18:6) “Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.”

In Matthew 26:36 we see Jesus praying. After this serious and agonizing prayer, people came to arrest Him for it was time for Him to die. When the people came, they asked, where is Jesus? When Jesus responded, ‘I am He’ they all fell to the ground (John 18:6). The reason is they came at a time when He was praying. Prayer must never be taken for granted. It must become your culture. In the Bible, we learned of how Apostle James got killed by Herod (Acts 12:1-2). At the time, the body of Christ was not praying. As they relaxed in prayer, Apostle Peter was also caught and imprisoned. This woke them up and made them pray with everything in them. Finally, Peter was miraculously saved and they all became happy (Acts 12:5-17).

When Paul and Silas got imprisoned they did not wait for others to pray for them. They started prayer and praise in the prison. As they kept doing this the foundations of the prison where they were kept shook and their prison chains broke (Acts 16:25-34).

Elijah would give a prophecy and after that spend days in prayer to get the prophecy fulfilled (James 5:17). Do you want your words to produce miracles? Do you want your words to command respect in the spirit? Pray; for prayer is the support that makes our words work. A praying Christian can conquer any territory for God. Be such a person. Start praying now. When you finish, release positive confessions into your life, family, finances, and all that concerns you. Halleluyah!

Confession: I command respect in the spiritual realm for I am a praying machine. I pray in the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Because of this, my words produce miracles. Because of my praying culture, I take territories for Jesus. My prayer is the support that make my words work. Halleluyah!

Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
