EDIFY THE CHURCH
(1 Corinthians 14:4) He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
Yesterday, we saw the need to build ourselves first before we could help others. After building our spirits by speaking in tongues, we have to edify, strengthen, and cause others to rise like giants in the Lord. One way is through speaking Holy Ghost-inspired words to them. Holy Ghost-inspired words are what we term prophesy. Prophesy, unlike tongues, is spoken in plain language that everyone can appreciate. For this reason, I want to encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to grant you or rekindle in you the ability to interpret your tongues.
The faith you had when you wanted to speak in tongues for the first time is the same faith you need to interpret tongues. When you interpret your tongues this way, it becomes prophesy. Receive the ability to interpret your tongues right now by the power of the Holy Ghost! Never forget that prophecy must always edify, exhort, and comfort you or others (1Corinthians 14:3). So prophesy to yourself, others, and all that concerns you today. Halleluyah!
Meditation: (1 Corinthians 14:4) He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
Activity: Spend time in prayer today. Edify, rise like an edifice, charge, and strengthen your spirit as you speak in tongues throughout the day. When you are done speaking in tongues interpret them by the power of the Holy Ghost.
Confession: The ability to interpret my tongues is granted me. I speak words of edification, exhortation, and comfort to myself and others today. Halleluyah!
If you have never been born again, then make the confession below.
I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.
Congratulations
You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
