GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

05/05/2022

CEASE TO DO EVIL

(Isaiah 1:16) “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,

Yesterday we learned that we are forgiven of all our sins. Today, the Holy Spirit is telling you to cease to do evil to yourself and others. As a Christian, you have a new status in the Spirit that matches with Jesus Christ for as He is, so are you (1 John 4:17). Why then continue to do evil? Cease doing evil. God told you to cease to do evil because you have the power to stop doing any evil. Don’t be a channel for the devil.

The word ‘evil’ as used in Isaiah 1:16 means ‘anything that can bring hurt and harm on others even if it was a mistake.' It can also refer to playing wickedness on others, doing mischief, or doing a bad thing. This may affect you or others spiritually, socially, morally, or physically. As a Christian, you have no business doing evil. Stay in prayer today and declare that you won’t be a channel for the devil. Declare that you have ceased doing evil from today. Halleluyah!

Confession: I shall never be a channel for satan. I shall not be the one making mistakes that would bring hurt and harm to others. I have ceased doing evil. I am a channel for righteousness and the things of God only. I am a channel for blessings only. Halleluyah!

Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
