GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

24/04/2022

THE CHARACTER OF THE WORD

(Jeremiah 1:4-5) Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you Before you were born I sanctified you; ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

The Bible reports that “For the word of God is living and powerful” (Hebrews 4:12). Since God’s Word is living and powerful, it must exhibit living features. Science teaches that all living things exhibit the following characteristics; respiration, movement, response to stimuli/communication, reproduction, growth, and death. When you check our theme scriptures for today, Prophet Jeremiah reported that “Then the word of the Lord came to me” – that is movement. After this came the word “saying”- meaning the Word of God can talk- that compares to response to stimuli or communication.

After that the words “Before I formed you” followed- meaning the Word of God can create. This compares to reproduction.

In other places in the Bible, we are told that the Word of God, which is Jesus died- that compared to death (Luke 23:44-46). In the City of Ephesus, we are told that the Word of God grew and prevailed- that compares to growth (Acts 19:20). There was a time when Jesus, who is the Word of God breathed on the disciples to receive the Holy Ghost- that compares to respiration (John 20:22).

Putting these together shows that God’s Word is a living thing. Stop seeing the scriptures as history. The Word of God is living and active. Start praying and declare that any scripture you rely on will produce tangible results for you from today forward. Halleluyah!

Confession: The Word of God is living and active. This living and active Word gave birth to me for I have been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. Halleluyah!

Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
