GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

30/05/2022

IN THE DAY OF HIS GLORY

(John 17:5) “And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”

Our theme scripture for today is a record of a prayer our Lord Jesus prayed before He died on the cross. Did you notice that in this prayer, He asked the Father to glorify Him with Himself? This shows that the glory Jesus asked for was in the name of the Father. This, therefore suggests that whatever this name is, it would be a name that the Father and by extension, the Son, and the Holy Ghost would always respond to.

Years later, Apostle Paul comes into the scene and tells us that ‘therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father’ (Philippians 2:9-11). Putting these scriptures together helps us to conclude that then there is a special glory in the name of Jesus. And in our generation, we have been granted the right to use the name of Jesus.

See what the scripture says in Colossians 3:17;And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Amazing! We are in the days of His glory. Start praying and prophesy to yourself that you are in the day of His glory therefore this glory is revealed in you as you use the name of Jesus. Halleluyah!

Confession: I am in the day of His glory, so glory appears whenever and wherever I use the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, glory is revealed in me. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I am experiencing glory in every facet of my life. Halleluyah!

Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
